4 inch suction strainer for the inlet end of a suction hose. Perforated steel basket with a female NPT threaded top. Threads onto the 4" male NPT hose end adapter to keep large debris from being drawn into the hose and pump. Protects the pump from rocks, rags and other solids when drawing from tanks, drums, pits or open containers.
