Specifications
| Item | Specification |
|---|---|
| Output range | 80,000 – 200,000 BTU/hr (factory set ~120,000 BTU) |
| Power input | 220–240V, max 1,000W |
| Air supply | ~20 PSI compressed air |
| Operating air pressure | 0.35 – 0.45 bar at burner |
| Fuel | Cleaned waste motor oil; cut with diesel if needed |
Assembly
- Attach burner flange coupling to front of burner using socket-head screws from the parts bag.
- Install ball valve in threaded center port on heated oil tank — seal threads with pipe sealant.
- Connect overflow tube — route overflow hose back to the oil supply tank.
- Mount air regulator bracket to rear of burner with two provided screws.
- Attach air regulator to bracket; install hose barb on input fitting (1/4 NPT).
- Connect air input hose before mounting regulator assembly to the burner.
- Connect output hose from regulator to burner. Apply epoxy to plastic nut threads once aligned for permanent connection.
- Connect oil pump hoses using soft aluminum crush washers at all couplings.
- Install oil strainer between supply tank and pump inlet.
- Wire burner: 220–240V input to right 3-pin connector (ground in center); thermostat to left connector.
SUPPLY TANK MUST BE LOWER THAN THE BURNER. A higher tank will siphon, flooding the furnace with oil.
VENT EXHAUST OUTSIDE. Never operate with exhaust venting into a closed building.
Startup Sequence
| Step | Event |
|---|---|
| 1 | Feed pump starts → fills oil reservoir |
| 2 | Tank full → oil heater activates |
| 3 | Oil at temperature → blower starts |
| 4 | Blower purges nozzle and furnace (~10 seconds) |
| 5 | Electric igniter energizes |
| 6 | Flame sensor searches for flame |
| 7 | Light detected before air valve opens → fault (electric eye already sees light) |
| 8 | No pre-existing light → air valve opens → burner ignites |
| 9 | Air 0.35–0.45 bar → normal operation |
| 10 | Air too high → fault shutdown |
Note: The electric eye prevents startup in bright ambient light. Operate in a shaded or enclosed space if startup fails repeatedly.
Maintenance
| Task | Frequency | Method |
|---|---|---|
| Clean air input tube | Periodically | Disconnect from rear; spray carburetor cleaner |
| Drain float tank water | Periodically | Open ball valve until clean oil flows |
| Clean oil strainer | When flow drops | Remove and clean debris |
| Clean nozzle coke | If flame quality drops | COLD burner only — remove air tube, spray carb cleaner |
Fault Light Reset
Fault light activates on: failed ignition, excess air pressure, or flame loss. Reset: power off for 5 minutes, correct the fault, press reset button, then restart.
Warranty
1-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Excludes misuse, improper installation, incorrect fuel, or maintenance failures. US Filtermaxx liability is limited to replacement of defective parts only.
